DAY 1: Morning departure to Folkestone for the
Eurotunnel crossing to Calais and on to Brugge for our
four night stay. Dinner in Hotel.
DAY 2: We have the morning to explore Brugge,
Early afternoon we join the coach and travel to Ypres, where the Christmas Market is housed in the main square. You will have time to explore before the Christmas Market opens at 16.00.
Be sure to take you place by the Menen Gate, to witness the ceremony of the sounding of the last post, which is performed every evening at 20.00hrs by the members of the fire brigade.
We leave Ypres at 21.00 to return to Brugge . No dinner included tonight.
DAY 3: Day at leisure in Brugge – plenty of time to visit the Christmas market. There is so much else to do in this wonderful city – shops, museums, brewery visits, canal trips, carriage rides, pavement cafes and don’t forget those delicious Belgian chocolates. Dinner in hotel
You must visit the Ice Palace – The Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival.
Explore the fantastic world of snow and ice, and enjoy the experience of a lifetime, without doubt the coolest visit of the year. In the ice bar you can enjoy a heart-warming glass of something on the rocks. Don’t forget to wrap up warm as the constant temperature is minus six degrees centigrade.
DAY 4: Today we head for Brussels,
the capital of Belgium, and home to a
beautiful Christmas Market. The
spectacular Grand Place awaits you, and
don’t forget to hunt out that cheeky little
chappie the Mannekin Pis.
Return for dinner in our hotel.
DAY 5: Departing after breakfast we head for the coast and Ostend, where you have time to explore this vibrant resort, before continuing to Calais for the ferry to Dover and home.
