Exeter is situated on the River Exe, full of character and ancient history. The city is home to the magnificent cathedral which dates back to Norman times.

Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey west to Otter Nurseries for lunch before continuing to Exeter and the hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2 Today you will have a free day in Exeter, a vibrant, attractive and historically interesting city. You have the chance to visit the magnificent cathedral and the Royal Albert Memorial museum, where you can explore the city’s 2000-year history under one roof. Perhaps ‘hit the sales’ before returning to the hotel and getting ready for the evening’s festivities.

Day 3 HAPPY NEW YEAR After a leisurely breakfast take a scenic drive around Dartmoor, passing through Tavistock, birthplace of Sir Francis Drake and Princetown where Dartmoor prison has been home to many a notorious felon. Continuing across the moor through Tow Bridges and Moretonhampstead to the hotel.

Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
