The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

Day 1 Early morning departure for the journey north to Dumfries for a three night stay.

Day 2 A midday departure for the journey to Edinburgh, with free time to explore this wonderful city before the evening performance of the Tattoo. We have purchased top priced tickets to ensure you have the best view of this amazing event. It is a unique, never-to-be-forgotten spectacle. ‘Haste ye back’. A late return to the hotel. NB: Dinner not included today.

NB: This is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly for the weather and no umbrellas are allowed.

Day 3 The morning is at leisure to explore Dumfries before travelling to Gretna Green – Scotland’s 5 star visitor attraction, where you will find shopping, dining, history and heritage. Free time before visiting Devils Porridge Museum and experience life in a WW1 trench. Explore the factory to discover what life was like for the munitions girls who flocked to work there.

Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey

This family-run Victorian-style hotel is in the heart of Dumfries. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, WiFi, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, bar and restaurant.

NB: The use of the Spa facilities is not included, however the hotel has a selection of options exclusively for residents to enjoy if they so wish.
