Christmas in Yorkshire

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Yorkshire and Harrogate arriving late afternoon for a four night stay. Tea/coffee or Sherry and mince pies will be served on arrival. After dinner, enjoy some hotel entertainment.

Day 2 The day begins with an ‘Emmerdale drive’ through the beautiful countryside featured in the programme's opening credits. You will make your way to the tiny village of Esholt – the location for ‘Beckindale’ and then ‘Emmerdale’ in the TV series for many years. Then on to the former spa town of Ilkley, sheltered by Ilkley Moor and the Cow and Calf Rocks. Return to the hotel in time for Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, a selection of cakes and scones with jam and cream and get ready for a festive quiz for the rest of the afternoon. Tonight, enjoy a Christmas Banquet Dinner followed by Christmas carols with mulled wine, tea or coffee and mince pies.

Day 3 MERRY CHRISTMAS Morning at leisure before enjoying a traditional four course Christmas Lunch with hats and crackers. Afterwards, you can listen to the King’s speech when tea/coffee and Christmas cake will be served. This evening, indulge in a Christmas hot fork buffet with desserts. Afterwards, there is time to have fun with evening bingo entertainment.

Day 4 Today is a free day to explore Harrogate at your own pace and enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic spa town. Tonight’s dinner is followed by evening entertainment of a festive quiz.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the journey home.
