Day 1 Early departure to Holyhead for the Irish Ferries sailing to Dublin and on to the overnight stay in Stillorgan.
Day 2 Depart Stillorgan and travel north through Kells Cavan, Fermanagh Lakelands and continue to Buncrana for a four night stay at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel.
Day 3 Depart for a morning guided tour of the Inishowen Peninsula and a drive to Ireland’s northernmost point, Malin Head. This region is a protected national park. The tour continues to Derry/Londonderry on the banks of the River Foyle, the only completely walled city in Ireland. The award-winning Tower Museum provides a full history of this absorbing city, the Guildhall, Bogside Murals and new Peace Bridge are other distinctive monuments to be found.
Day 4 At leisure - spend a relaxing day in Buncrana and enjoy the hotels facilities including the indoor swimming pool.
Day 5 Michael Palin described the train trip from Londonderry to Coleraine as “…one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world”. What better way to start the day than on this delightful route that winds its way past beautiful beaches and through Ireland’s longest railway tunnels, taking in historic landmarks along the way. Then head on to the UNESCO World-Heritage listed Giants Causeway. A regular shuttle bus escorts visitors from the visitor centre to the shore. (small charge payable locally).
Day 6 Time to depart from Buncrana and travel to Belfast where you will visit the Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre, exploring the Titanic story through the nine interactive galleries. You then continue the journey to Stillorgan for your last overnight stay.
Day 7 An early start to the port of Dublin for the 08.05 hours sailing to Holyhead with breakfast on board the ferry. Arrive Holyhead and commence the homeward journey.
