Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 Early morning departure to Dover to catch the ferry to France. Continue the short journey through France and into Belgium to arrive at the hotel for a three night stay. Being located in the centre of the city, there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Day 2 This morning meet a local guide for a walking tour of the city which will highlight the most important attractions of the historic centre. Wander the maze of cobbled streets and see remarkable architecture. Grote Markt is the main square bounded by colourful, ornate and historical buildings. Afterwards enjoy a canal cruise which winds through the city and passes under the many bridges. See the city from a different angle and discover the many waterways that give the city the nickname of ‘The Venice of the North’. The rest of the day will be at leisure to
explore the city. Perhaps take a horse and carriage ride, visit one of the many chocolate shops, sample some local beers or if you are feeling energetic climb the 366 stairs of the Belfry for a birds eye view.

Day 3 A full day at leisure in Bruges or alternatively join the coach for a half day excursion to nearby Brussels, the Capital of Belgium at the centre of European culture with almost 90 museums, beautiful parks and gardens and abound with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. The highlight of city has to be the spectacular cobbled square of the Grand Place, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its decorative architecture, the Royal Galleries and the little bronze statue of a small boy, Manneken Pis, a renowned symbol of Brussels.

Day 4 Departing after a leisurely breakfast, return to France for the ferry back to the UK.
