Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Windsor, where you will have free time to explore and take some lunch before a visit to Windsor Castle. The Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 39 monarchs. Today the Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle. Plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings in the castle and the grounds. NB: St Georges Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays due to services throughout the day. You will then be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 After breakfast, you will depart the hotel and travel to Henley-on-Thames, whilst here you will be able to explore the town, home to many fantastic and unusual restaurants, shops and cafes. We have included a visit to the River and Rowing Museum at Henley, the museum has four permanent galleries dedicated to Rowing, Rivers, the work of British artist John Piper and the history of Henley-on-Thomas. The museum is also home to the magical ‘Wind and the Willows’ exhibition which brings to life the much-loved story with 3D models, lighting and music. You will also enjoy an hour’s cruise on the River Thames with a pre-recorded commentary and a fish and chip lunch. After the visit you will commence the homeward journey.
