Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Clarks Village for lunch and shopping before travelling the short distance to the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will travel on the West Somerset Railway from Bishops Lydeard through the scenic countryside of the Quantock Hills to Minehead. On arrival you will have time to obtain some lunch before you are taken to visit Dunster, located in the Exmoor National Park’s rolling hills and has over 200 listed buildings. The village is well preserved to maintain its historic charm.
Day 3 This morning you will travel to Newt Estate, a working farm in Somerset with acres of splendid gardens, woodland farmland, cider orchards, a Roman villa, gardens, a farm and eateries to explore during your visit. In the afternoon you will travel back to the hotel by way of Wells, England’s smallest city for a coffee stop.
Day 4 Today you will travel through the rugged gorges of Wookey Hole and the famous Cheddar Gorge where we have included a visit to the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company, and the only cheesemaker in Cheddar for a viewing and tasting. Later you will travel to Shepton Mallet Prison, the world’s oldest prison. From the moment you step through the giant oak prison gates and hear them clang shut behind you, you are in for a truly real-life experience.
