Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to The Wirral and onto the hotel for a four night stay.

Day 2 This morning you will travel into Liverpool where you will enjoy a 3 hour guided tour down memory lane on a ‘Living Memories Musical History’ tour of fun, facts and sentimental soundtracks, including a visit to the Strawberry Field Visitor Centre and Gardens, Penny Lane and the Beatles childhood homes. You will also visit the famous Cavern Club and have a 50 minute cruise with commentary on the Mersey Ferry. Free time afterwards for you to perhaps visit Albert Docks and museums or the two cathedrals.

Day 3 Today you will head into Chester, where you can explore the almost complete city walls with time to stroll along the famous ‘Rows’ shopping area. We have included a guided tour for you to learn about Chester’s history as well as a half hour boat cruise along the River Dee.

Day 4 You will spend the morning at the seaside resort of New Brighton where you could visit the Victorian Quarter or have a stroll along part of the longest promenade in the UK. In the afternoon we have included a visit to Lord Lever’s famous village at Port Sunlight where there is a fascinating museum of the soap factory, enjoy the guided tour showing life in the village for the factory workers and residents.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

A 16th-century castle looking out across Liverpool Bay and Leasowe golf course. A mix of original character with modern comforts. All bedrooms are en- suite with TV, telephone, WiFi, toiletries, ironing facilities and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, stylish bar, restaurant and gardens.
