Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Llandrindod Wells, arriving late afternoon at the Metropole Hotel for a four night stay.

Day 2 This morning you will be taken to the Elan Valley and the Dams Visitor Centre for you to enjoy before returning to Llandrindod Wells to obtain lunch before visiting the National Cycle Museum. Journey through the lanes of cycle history and see bicycles from 1818, such as the Hobby Horse, Boneshakers and Penny Farthings up to the most modern carbon fibre machines of today.

Day 3 An early start as you have a full day excursion to Aberystwyth and the Vale of Rheidol Railway, a heritage narrow gauge. You catch the morning train along the former Great Western line to Devil’s Bridge. A short walk from the terminus gets you to the spectacular Mynach Falls. Take a break at Devil’s Bridge and have time for refreshments before catching the return train to Aberystwyth.

Day 4 Today you will journey through the beautiful and diverse scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park with free time to explore the medieval town of Brecon and we have included a relaxing cruise on the historic Monmouthshire and Brecon canal.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

The hotel is located in the centre of the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells, in the beautiful heart of Wales. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
