Itinerary

Torquay Harbour © English Riviera Day 1 Morning departure for the journey west to Devon and to the hotel in Torquay for a four night stay.

Day 2 This morning you will travel to Brixham, a quintessential English harbour town. The colourful houses that surround the harbour bowl are the first things you notice, but the real stars of the town are not the buildings – it’s the fish. As one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK, Brixham has a long history of bringing in fresh seafood. After lunch travel to Dartmouth, a beautiful town situated on the banks of the picturesque River Dart for some free time before returning to the hotel.

Day 3 A free day in Torquay to explore the town or use the hotel facilities. At 16.00 hours the hotel will serve tea and coffee followed by a game of bingo in the Gallery lounge.

Day 4 Short day to the pretty seaside resort of Dawlish, a favourite of Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, with its red shingle beach and craggy cliffs. Then on to Teignmouth with its two mile long esplanade. Once again, the hotel will serve tea and coffee followed by a quiz on your return at 16.00 hours.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

Headland Hotel and Spa

Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Torquay, on the headland looking out to sea. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, WiFi, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift to most floors, bar, restaurant, sauna and gym. Access to the hydro spa is available to all guests with a charge of £10 per person.

Hotel is an approx. 15 minute walk from the centre of town and is uphill.
