Christmas Markets in Three Countries

Day 1 Early morning departure for the journey to Dover and the ferry crossing to Calais. Continue the journey into Belgium and to Liège for a three night stay. After checking in to your hotel you will then be able to spend the evening enjoying the town with a chance to eat at one of the many restaurants and explore the Christmas Market. Liège boasts the country’s largest and oldest Christmas village, with plenty of food and drink stands and stalls selling a selection of seasonal products.

Day 2 This morning you head over the border to Germany and to the lovely town of Aachen with free time to explore this famous old town. The Christmas market is set around the cathedral, old town and market square and easy for you to explore. Why not find time to visit the Lindt factory outlet here in Aachen and purchase some of their exclusive Christmas products or something different. You will return to Liege mid-afternoon for free time.

Day 3 Spend the day exploring Valkenburg, with its oldest and most visited underground Christmas Market in the Municipal Caves, where there are over 50 stalls with beautiful decorations and Christmas gifts. Above ground see the festive decorations in Santa’s village and marvel at the largest crib in Europe. Afterwards you will return to Liège.

Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

The hotel is in the city centre, next to the Opera House in the Opèra shopping centre and close to the River Meuse. All modern cosy bedrooms are en-suite with TV, WiFi and telephone. Lift and bar with many restaurants close by.
