Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Torquay and the hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2 A morning visit to the busy port of Brixham, famous for its fishing, art and colourful houses that line the harbour. It also boasts a museum to get the real taste of its maritime heritage, and home to the Golden Hind replica. Afterwards you will travel to Coleton Fishacre, a stunning National Trust property with an accredited garden, viewpoints that give enticing glimpses out to sea, paths weaving through tranquil ponds with a mixture of plants. After you have walked around the gardens, warm up in the beautiful country house and admire the festive decorations whilst taking a glimpse at life upstairs and downstairs.
NB: Make sure you wrap up warm whilst in the gardens. Path and floor surfaces around the property are tarmac, concrete, gravel, paving, granite sets, wood and carpet.
Day 3 Today you will travel to Buckfast Abbey, Devon’s hidden gem located at the centre of a picturesque valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Buckfast is home to a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine Monks. The afternoon is free before having an early dinner prior to visiting the Princess Theatre for the Royal Marines concert. Sit back and enjoy some of the well-known tunes and sing along to the Christmas carols.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
