Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north and to the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will travel the short distance to the historic city of York. You will begin with a visit to ‘The Chocolate Story’ which takes you on a guided tour of the history of chocolate making in York, including the Rowntree’s factory which opened in 1890. You will then have the rest of the day to explore many attractions including the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Centre, the City walls, York Minster and the little streets and alleyways.
Day 3 This morning you will travel to the seaside resort of Scarborough and free time for you to explore and grab lunch and perhaps enjoy fish and chips by the seaside. In the afternoon you will travel back south for a visit to the Ryedale Vineyard, an award winning winery at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. Enjoy a tour of the winery, learning how much dedication goes into producing their wine. The tour will end with a tasting and then return to the hotel.
Day 4 A drive south over the Humber bridge to the city of Lincoln, with its magnificent Cathedral, that stands next to the Norman Castle, and we have included a guided tour. You will be guided around the city by coach and afterwards you can explore. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops along with plenty of tea rooms to choose from.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward bound
