Lille is a perfect place for a short weekend break, and an ideal base with further visits to the historic town of Arras and the lovely city of Bruges.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais. Continue the journey to Lille and the hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2 You will spend the morning browsing the shops and bistros that line the winding cobbled streets of Lille old town. As Saturday is market day in the main square – Place SeĢbastopol – you can also browse the market stalls. In the afternoon you will visit the nearby city of Arras, known for its two ornate squares brimming with shops and restaurants, before returning to Lille.
Day 3 Today you can pay a visit to the locally renowned Wazemmes Flower and Food Market in Lille before setting off to spend the rest of the day in Bruges. Here, you can relax in the Belgian city, try a river cruise or a horse-drawn carriage ride, as well as sampling a beer in one of the traditional Belgian breweries. Returning to Lille late afternoon.
NB: Coaches not allowed to drop in the city and will park at the coach park and you will have a twenty minute stroll to the centre.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
The hotel is located in an excellent position in a quiet street, just a two minute walk from Euralille shopping centre and a five minute walk from the city centre, All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, bar, restaurant and an outdoor courtyard.
