Day 2 You will continue the journey further north and into the Scottish Highlands to Inverness for a four night stay.

Day 3 Inverness is one of Scotland’s seven cities and sits in the south of the Highlands on the banks of the River Ness. A full day for you to explore some of the hidden gems which included the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery which is next to the Whisky shop. Discover the famous Leakey’s bookshop or visit the Botanic Gardens, Scotland’s most visited free attraction. You could stroll along the River Ness or unwind at the hotel’s luxury leisure club and spa.

Day 4 Today you will travel to Strathpeffer, a leafy Victorian spa town, with distinctive Victorian architecture and surrounded by wooded hills. During its heyday, Strathpeffer was a renowned European health resort. Free time to explore the area and maybe visit the Highland Museum of Childhood, located at the restored Victorian train station, with examples of growing up in the Highlands and is a great way to explore the local history and traditions. Afterwards you will travel to Dornoch, sat on the edge of the Dornoch Firth, a small historic town boasts a tranquil location and stunning scenery. The town is famed for its impressive cathedral, founded in 1224 and also the town is reputedly where the last witch in Scotland was burnt in 1722, a fact commemorated by the Witch’s Stone.

Day 5 HAPPY EASTER This morning you will visit Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre. The course of British, European and world history was changed at Culloden on 16th April 1746 when a ferocious war had come to Scotland, dividing families and setting clan against clan. See where the battle took place, and learn more about the war at the new museum. Afterwards you will take a scenic drive by way of Aviemore to Kingussie, situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and within the stunning Cairngorms National Park and is a small lively town. Here enjoy lunch and time to look around before travelling by way of Spean Bridge to Fort Augustus, located on the southern tip of Loch Ness on the Great Glen Way. Time for a coffee and look around before travelling along the shores of Loch Ness back to the hotel
