Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure to Cornwall and on to the hotel arriving late afternoon for a four/five night stay.

Day 2 To St Ives, one of Cornwall’s top destinations and perfectly situated overlooking a crescent of beaches. The town has become a magnet to some of the world’s greatest painters, sculptors, and ceramasists. There are plenty of pavement cafes for you to enjoy and have some lunch. (NB: shuttle bus to the centre is available at a small cost). This afternoon you will visit the ancient market town of Penzance set in beautiful Mounts Bay.

Day 3 An excursion to visit Lanhydrock House and Gardens, a magnificent late Victorian country house with gardens. Discover two sides of life in the house from the kitchens and servants to the luxurious family area and elegant living. Make sure you stroll around the extensive gardens and enjoy their year-round colour. Returning by way of the cathedral city of Truro for some free time.

Day 4 This morning you will enjoy a relaxing boat trip along the stunning banks of the River Fal to Falmouth, a historic maritime coastal resort. Here you will have some free time to explore and have some lunch before travelling to Marazion, with stunning views of St. Michaels Mount including a cream tea to round off your day.

Day 5/6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

On 6 day tour we have included the following excursion:
  • First you will travel to Padstow, charming fishing port and famous foodie destination, explore and have lunch before travelling to Bodmin and to the famous jail. Built in 1779 for King George III, the jail played an important role in Cornwall’s history.
