Suffolk and Norfolk

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Suffolk and the hotel for a four night stay.

Day 2 Today you are off to the famous university city of Cambridge. The city has many fascinating attractions, not least of which are the many colleges. You will meet the guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery, you are then be free to explore at your leisure.

Day 3 This morning you travel west to the historic town of Bury St. Edmunds, famous for its Abbey Gardens and the Angel Hotel where Dickens had Mrs. Pickwick to stay. Enjoy the morning browsing and have some lunch before visiting Ely, also known for its famous cathedral and historic Eel Trail.

Day 4 Today you will travel to Bressingham Gardens, which have been the passion of three generations of the Bloom family since 1953 and feature over 8,000 species and six interlinking gardens for you to stroll around. You then have time for lunch before visiting the Bressingham Steam Museum. This museum has had a documentary series made of behind the scenes on Channel 5.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey

Located in the village of Eye, a rural retreat on the Norfolk and Suffolk border and wrapped up in 4 acres of grounds. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV telephone, radio, WiFi, hairdryer, iron/ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. Restaurant and bar overlooking the walled garden.

NB: There is no lift, but rooms are on ground and first floor.
