A weekend break at the Marine Hotel in Paignton based on a ‘turkey and tinsel’ package with visits to Buckfast Abbey and the House of Marbles.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey west to Devon and to the hotel in Paignton for a three night stay.
Day 2 Today you will head to Buckfast Abbey where you will have time to explore the surroundings, visit the Abbey, gift shop, gardens and obtain lunch before continuing to the village of Bovey Tracy where you will visit the House of Marbles with its four museums and restaurant where we have included a cream tea for you to enjoy before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 This morning you will spend in the quintessential harbour town of Brixham. The colourful houses that surround the harbour bowl are the first thing you notice. As one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK, Brixham has a long history of bringing in fresh seafood. After lunch you will travel to the beautiful 1,200 acre estate of the Dartington Trust. Here you will find plenty to explore including the Great Hall, gardens, shopping and places to eat before returning to Paignton.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
Situated on a level position opposite Paignton seafront and is a 5–10-minute walk from the town centre with its many shops and eateries. All bedrooms are en- suite with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift, bar and lounge, restaurant and conservatory.
