Day 1 Morning departure to Cornwall and on to the hotel arriving late afternoon for a four/five night stay.
Days 2 to 4/5 We have included the following excursions:
• To St Ives, one of Cornwall’s top destinations and perfectly situated overlooking a crescent of beaches. The town has become a magnet to some of the world’s greatest painters, sculptors, and ceramicists. There are plenty of pavement cafeĢs for you to enjoy and have some lunch.
NB: shuttle bus to the centre is available at a small cost.• Enjoy a relaxing boat trip along the stunning banks of the River Fal to Falmouth, a historic maritime coastal resort. Here you will have some free time to explore and have some lunch before travelling to Marazion, with stunning views of St. Michaels Mount.
• A visit to Lanhydrock House and Gardens, a magnificent late Victorian country house with gardens. Discover two sides of life in the house from the kitchens and servants to the luxurious family area and elegant living. Returning by way of the cathedral city of Truro with some free time.
NB: Coach Park is approx. 270 metres from visitor reception. Passengers are welcome to make use of the free shuttle service that will take them the remainder of the way to the house (350 metres). There is a concrete pathway to house.
• 6 DAY TOUR ONLY - ISLES OF SCILLY – Early departure to travel to Penzance for the ferry to St Mary’s which takes 2 3/4 hours. Plenty to see during your few hours ashore – stroll through Hugh Town, visit Porthcressa Beach and Buzza Tower. Ferry departs at 16.30 hours to the mainland. Travel back to the hotel for a late dinner.
NB: Photo ID is required for this day tour (passport, photo driving licence, bus pass).
Day 5/6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
